Xiaomi has just introduced its impressive 2025 flagship lineup the Xiaomi 17 Series along with the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series and a bunch of new smart home devices. The event took place at the Beijing National Convention Center, hosted by the company’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, who gave the long-awaited Annual Speech 2025 titled Change. This year’s launch marks Xiaomi’s continuous movement toward the “Human × Car × Home” ecosystem.

The new Xiaomi 17 Series comes in three versions Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max each packed with cutting-edge technology and a refined design language that blends power with elegance.

Compact Yet Powerful

Xiaomi 17 is a compact flagship aimed at users: it has a 6.3-inch display, Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the industry’s first dedicated high-performance camera ISP, and a 7000mAh storage battery. The surge is the largest on the industry, owing to the Xiaomi 17’s diminished size. 

Its weights is 191 grammes and measuring 8.06mm in thickness, the device feels great in the palm and boasts a sandblasting frosted matte surface. It is also characterised by 1.18mm ultranarrow bezels. The M10 SuperRED Display provides a brightness of up to 3500 nitsc, thus providing excellent visibility of the surroundings, even in direct sunlight. 

The device is also perfect for photographers, having a Leica Summilux 50MP principal camera with a Light Fusion 950 sensor and a 60mm floating 50MP telephoto lens. From daylight portraits to dark scenes, the Xiaomi 17 will easily capture professional-level images.

Not to mention detail that’s nothing short of spectacular. The Pro Max comes with a 5x periscope telephoto lens, larger sensor and better light absorption for sharper long-range shoots.

Despite being only 8mm thin, both Pro models pack a 6300mAh and 7500mAh battery, respectively. These pair of flagships offer 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging while offering extended battery life in general. Furthermore, both Pro models also support UWB smart keys, which allow users to unlock a compatible car and smart home devices in one go.
